About Me

Hello! My name is Jordan McDowell. I am 28 years old, and I was saved at 17 years old. I recently got engaged to Risha Anderson, and we plan on getting married in March of 2026!I dedicated my life to the Lord at 19 years old and then spent the next six years at Pensacola Christian College, where by God’s grace I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and went on to complete my Master of Divinity. It was during the second year of my master’s program that God called me to be a church planter, and I have been pursuing that calling ever since.Once I graduated in 2023, I entered a very in-depth residency program at Stanley Heights Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, under Pastor Brent Baughman and Pastor Ed Alexander. Upon completion of my residency program in August of 2024, I moved to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area to work under Pastor Nathan Snode at Lifeway Baptist Church and have been here since then. I just got ordained into the Gospel ministry on September 7, 2025 and I am now serving as the Assistant Pastor.Pastor Snode and I share the same vision—not just to start one church, but to start churches that in turn will reproduce like-minded, like-spirited churches. I am being sent out by Lifeway Baptist Church to plant a church in the Robinson Township area, which is about thirty minutes away from Lifeway. Over the past year, I have been able to make invaluable connections with local pastors in the area through church planters’ conferences and fellowship meetings.I am partnered with BIMI’s USA division, “Reseeding America,” under my director Bob Larson. God has providentially allowed me to make many connections over the past couple of years. My fiancée and I are very excited to start a church in the Pittsburgh area, and we are looking forward to a life together of faithfully serving God for the rest of our lives!
